After your annual Thanksgiving Day super power nap, it’s time to crawl out the house and liven up the night. 225 has the 411 on the dives that will be open after you feast on everything in front of your face. Teddy’s Juke Joint in Zachary will be open throughout the holidays. Chelsea’s Café will open up around 6 p.m. while the Spanish Moon will have its normal hours of 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. Red Star Bar will open up at 8 p.m. Hound Dogs opens up at 4 p.m. North Gate Tavern will also resume its regular hours of 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. Among the businesses that are closed on Thanksgiving Day are Schlitz & Giggles, The Grape, Churchill’s, Sullivan’s, Funny Bone and Phil Brady’s.

Dust off your hat and polish the boots, there’s a concert comin’ to town! Fresh off the release of his fifth studio album entitled Startin’ Fires, Blake Shelton brings his brand of country music to Paragon Casino and Resort this Saturday night. $30. 9 p.m. Persons under 21 must be accompanied by an adult.

OK, so it’s not the actual 1960s pop/rock group that changed the history of music as we know it, but it’s pretty darn close. Penny Lane is a Beatles tribute band, and they’ll put on their best suits, performing all the hits this Saturday night at Hollywood Casino downtown. 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. Tickets are $10.
